Environment
Environmental responsibility
Caring for the environment, employee safety and health, and efficient energy use are among the key priorities of our development strategy and business. Our operations are based on a holistic approach that covers the entire product life cycle – from development and production to use and end-of-life management.
We are committed to reducing negative impacts on the environment, efficient use of natural resources, and the development of sustainable and energy-efficient products. We have an integrated management system in place, based on international standards ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and the EMAS regulation, which ensures systematic management of environmental aspects, occupational health and safety, and efficient energy use.
Efficient use of resources and energy
By introducing the best available technologies, optimizing processes, and using advanced materials, we:
• reduce energy consumption (electricity, natural gas, district heating) and water,
• increase energy efficiency and the share of renewable energy sources,
• prevent waste generation and increase material efficiency.
We systematically monitor performance indicators and implement continuous improvements.
Climate change and emissions
We are aware of our impact on climate change, therefore we:
• are reducing greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3),
• are optimizing energy processes,
• are developing products with lower energy consumption and a smaller environmental footprint.
We place special emphasis on reducing impacts in the product use phase, as this represents a significant share of the total carbon footprint.
Pollution prevention and environmental impact reduction
We are committed to preventing pollution and reducing environmental impacts by reducing emissions to air, water and soil, by efficient waste water management and safe chemical management. By constantly monitoring environmental indicators and implementing improvements, we ensure compliance with legislation and reduce environmental risks.
Circular economy and products
We develop our products in accordance with the principles of ecodesign and circular economy:
• we use materials that enable recycling,
• we improve the reparability and lifespan of products,
• we perform life cycle analyses (LCA),
• we support and implement systems for the collection and processing of waste electrical and electronic equipment and packaging in accordance with the legislation on extended producer responsibility. This means that we take responsibility for products even after their end of use.
Handling of materials, chemicals and waste
We ensure responsible handling of materials and chemicals throughout our production processes:
• we use materials that comply with the most demanding environmental standards (REACH, RoHS),
• we prevent the generation of waste and ensure its proper separation,
• we reduce the use of hazardous substances by introducing safer alternatives,
• we increase the use of recycled materials.
